Welcome to the Homepage of the SSO Chemnitz!
Among the few amateur symphony orchestras in Saxony, we are able to perform with a large, complete symphonic lineup at a high level of quality, much to the delight of our audience. Our repertoire encompasses a diverse program, ranging from entertainment concerts to classical symphony performances. In addition to numerous other concerts, we primarily rehearse for our two annual concerts, which take place in the Grand Hall of the City Hall.
We always welcome new musicians! You are welcome to attend one of our rehearsals to get a taste of the orchestra's atmosphere, get to know us better, and let the music inspire you.
With respect and appreciation, we bid farewell to our previous conductor, Mr. MD Andreas Grohmann, and welcome the new artistic director, Mr. Michael Pauser. You can purchase the tickets online or through the presale outlets. For our chamber concerts in the Aula of the Industrieschule Chemnitz, you can still make reservations on our website. Make sure to mark the date for our chamber concert on October 7, 2023, at the Industrieschule Chemnitz featuring the soloists Markus and Pascal Kaufmann (piano).
